Artisan has a quiet trick to it: each tile is subtly bowed, raised slightly higher in the middle than at the edges, so the surface catches light in a way that a flat tile never could. Combined with the variegated, handmade-style glazes across six colourways, it gives a wall real depth without any applied pattern at all.
The range also includes Artisan Hexagon tiles in cool and warm tones, which can be used alongside the brick shapes or as a striking standalone feature. Herringbone brings out the shape and shadow play wonderfully, and striping two colourways together adds another layer of interest if you want something a little more considered than a single-tone wall. It is an easy way to bring texture into a kitchen or bathroom without relying on a busy pattern to do the work.
