      Organic and characterful, Zellige tiles, also known as Moroccan style tiles, originated in the medieval Islamic world and are particularly associated with Morocco. Originally hand cut, they are uneven and display the sort of imperfections associated with a hand made product. Our Zellige is made using modern techniques but still exudes all the charm of an authentic hand made product.  

      The term "zellige" comes from the Arabic word "zellij," which means "tile" in Moroccan Arabic.

      Rustico Zellige is a more rustic version of this fabulous tiles, with more of the beautiful imperfections associated with this hand-made style of tile.
