Our Returns Policy

The team at The Baked Tile Co. hope you like our tiles as much as we do! If you do wish to return tiles to us, please see our returns policy below.

Surplus

If you have any full unused boxes of tiles in their original packaging, then you have 30 days from the date of delivery to return them to us. This is important due to batching issues. We can only resell goods that are the same batch as we have in stock at that time. Returns will be subject to a restocking charge of 25%. Please see below for returning surplus tiles.

Returning tiles

1.Please return the tiles to our main distribution warehouse: Baked Tiles, C/O Edit Home & Design in Store It Wales, Ashford House, Abergelly Road, Swansea West Industrial Estate, Fforestfach, Swansea, SA5 4DY. Returns will be subject to a restocking charge of 25%.

You will need to arrange to get the tiles back to our warehouse – for insurance reasons we cannot do this for you. Palletways and TNT are just two of many companies that will be able to assist you.

Please ensure that the tiles are wrapped safely for transit and are returned in a re-saleable condition and in their original packaging. Unfortunately, we cannot refund you for the return cost of the tiles and any additional packaging costs. Also, we won’t be able to refund you for any broken tiles that are damaged in return transit.

Don’t forget to include your order number, name & address with the returned goods, so we know who to issue the refund to.

2.Please let us know by email if you are planning to return your tiles and the reason why -  ordersupport@bakedtiles.co.uk. This is especially important over the Christmas period when we are closed. NB. Our warehouse is open Monday to Friday, 9am-4.30pm and is closed on Bank Holidays. 

3.Once the tiles have been returned to our warehouse and we have checked them, we will issue your tile refund within 5 working days. Refunds by PayPal can take up to 10 day working days. 

Change of Choice

It’s really important to us that you purchase the perfect solution for your design, if you feel your tiles are not quite right for you, then you have 30 days from receiving your order to get them back to us. Please let the office know if you have changed your mind and we will try our best to help you find the right tile for you!  See the section above about returning the tiles to us as this applies.  Unfortunately, the original delivery cost is not refundable.  Returns will be subject to a restocking charge of 25%.

Sample tile orders are exempt from our returns policy and are non-refundable.

Tile trims, adhesives, grouts and clearance/job lots 

Unfortunately, we cannot except returns or exchanges on trims, adhesives, grouts and items included in clearance/job lots. 

Special Order Items  

We cannot offer refunds or exchanges on special order items once they have left the manufacturer and are in transit to our warehouse.  A special order item is an item we don’t generally hold in stock and have to specifically order in for a customer. Tiles which are a special order item will be stated on our website.  If you are unsure if the tiles you have ordered are a special order item, please call us to check.
