Baked Tiles Penetrating Sealer 1 Litre

Baked Tiles impregnating sealer is formulated for use on ceramic tiles that have a porous crackle glaze. It helps protect your beautiful tiles from penetration by water, dirt, oil, grease, limescale and other household contaminants. Water-based technology, in an easy to use formulation, it will help protect your beautiful tiles

USES

Use for Baked Tiles CO. crackle-glazed tiles. Can also be used to seal grout and other porous surfaces.

PRECAUTIONS

1. Always Test first; The end user must determine the suitability of the product for their intended use.
2. Read entire label and product technical bulletin before using;
3. Wear appropriate skin and eye protection and use in a well- ventilated area;
4. Surface must be clean and completely dry and free from any other sealers and coatings;
5. Use when surface temperature is between 4°C and 32°C;

INSTRUCTIONS (specific to Crackle Glaze) – It is recommended that the tiles be sealed PRIOR to installation:

1. Layout the tiles to be installed on a flat surface (protect the surface as necessary from absorbing any sealer)
2. SHAKE bottle well before using. Apply product using a Sponge-brush, paint pad or cotton towels;
3. After 5–10 minutes, remove any visible product remaining on the surface by wiping the surface COMPLETELY DRY with absorbent paper or cotton towels. DO NOT ALLOW THE PRODUCT TO DRY ON THE SURFACE;
4. If 2 or more coats are required, (determined via testing) apply second coat within 10 minutes of the first, (wet-on-wet) for best results. In most cases one liberal coat will be sufficient. It is good practice to add a second coat, after tiling and grouting (when grout has fully dried) this way the grout is also afforded some stain protection.
5. The tiles should be ready for installation after 2 hours. Keep surface dry for 12 hours.

LIMITATIONS

• Do not allow the product to come in contact with any non-recommended surfaces;

• Regular use of harsh cleaners will affect the performance andenhancement;

• Sealer will not prevent surface wear or etching from harsh chemicals

                                                                                                                                              EXPECTED WEAR

Up to  5 years but will vary depending on texture and hardness of  surface wear plus frequency, and type of maintenance products used. Harsh cleaning methods and high-alkaline, acidic, or solvent-based cleaners and weather exposure will affect wear and performance. Re-seal as necessary.

COVERAGE

Approximately 20 m2 per 1 litre per coat. The coverage

will vary depending on density, porosity, texture, surface

absorption, weather conditions, the application method and

number of coats.

MAINTENANCE

HANDLING AND STORAGE

• Close container tightly after each use.
• Store in original container only.
• Store and use in temperatures between 4°C and 32°C.

FIRST AID

For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre or a doctor. If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. If in eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water. Continue flushing until advised to stop by the Poisons Information centre or a Doctor or for at least 15 minutes. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.
