A bathroom floor has a slightly different job to the walls around it, since it needs to look good while coping with constant moisture underfoot. We deliberately do not push tiles with an aggressive anti-slip texture for a standard bathroom floor: you rarely need that level of grip, and a heavily textured surface can actually be harder to keep clean day to day. That high-grip finish is best kept for wet room floors specifically.
Large format tiles are a popular choice here, giving a seamless, spa-like look with very few grout lines to interrupt it. Smaller decorative formats, hexagon, encaustic, and mosaic among them, bring real character if you want the floor itself to carry some pattern. Whichever direction you take, a naturally finished or matte tile is the safer, more practical choice underfoot than anything polished or high gloss.
