One question people often ask is why should I use an interior designer? Another being, will it cost me more to engage a designer to help me with my house?
At The Baked Tile Company, we work with a lot of architects and interior designers who are asked to create beautiful rooms with our tiles. We thought we’d share the process of designing a new room with you, showing the whole process from beginning to end.
Once the budget has been decided on, your designer should assist you in taking your dreams and turning them into reality, whilst keeping an eye on the pennies and ensuring you get the very best impact from your investment. Choose your designer well and they will know where to source the right product to create a certain look within your home and their expertise should ensure you avoid costly design mistakes. Plus when you set a budget for them, then they can cost everything prior to purchase so you know your finances are on track. Furthermore, it is always in their interest to make your finished room look as amazing as possible, after all, any designer is only as good as their last project.
So when home owner Alex went looking for a bathroom, she decided to enlist our help - our design team in Mumbles. Our client had a great sense of style and had a good idea of what she wanted her room to look like, so together we set about turning that concept into an actual hardworking and beautiful room.
The process started with a house visit and survey. On this particular project the two existing rooms, one home to a bathroom and the second the separate WC, were to be knocked though to create a beautiful family bathroom, ideal to serve this lovely family of 4. Megan, one of the qualified interior design team at EDIT, presented a number of layout options and product specifications for the client to consider. These were presented together with 3D visuals of how the concepts would look on completion. After due consideration, the products were selected and Megan created working drawings to accompany the plans, elevations and visuals. Following a briefing meeting with the installer, the goods were delivered to site and the transformation began.
This beautiful room, which was completed a few months ago is giving our client and her family a great deal of joy, it is no longer just a utility space, but a place to truly relax and refresh.
