Retro Living

New retro styling has been bubbling over for a little while now, and we love the juxtaposition of contemporary styling and modern conveniences, with a slightly retro twist. If you’d like to transform your home with minimal effort on your part just visit our website www.bakedtiles.co.uk for a whole host of retro inspired tiles. A tiler could have your cloakroom, kitchen splash back or en-suite bang on trend before the week is out. Our top picks for retro tiles are Oslo, Chipboard, London Funk and Fes ranges. There are also so many different grout colours available, we recommend Kerakoll for more quirky colours such as yellow and red, how very 60’s of them!

Tribal Influence

Without a shadow of a doubt tribal influences will be extremely prevalent in 2017. The trend can be embraced in many different guises, from art to throws and even smaller accessories such as wooden rustic holders and vases. This trend is also an excellent way to inject colour into your home. A very tactile approach should be taken when implementing this kind of styling. Think furs, layering, beadwork items and faux foliage - all good ways to further emulate this look. For tiling opt rustic style woods, we look our Chamonix Parquet!

Colour Crazy

Grey was the stand out colour choice for 2014, 15 & 16. However, as with anything which has dominated the industry for some time it will result in the lack of colour leading to a colour revival for 2017. We predict all things colour will be back with full force! Luckily for you if you have gone grey then a neutral pallet such as this will welcome colour with open arms. Blues work well with greys as do pinks and most pastel tones. Remember, colour doesn’t have to be confined to living spaces only, even bathrooms can take advantage of a splash of a more vibrant hue. Monochrome schemes always take well to a colour injection. Stick to pops of colour in mirrors, stools, accessories etc. We wouldn’t advise reverting back to the days of coloured suites just yet! For a super easy and cost effective colour update to a bathroom keep colour to the floor, we think our Bologna Multi tiles will do the trick!
